- Role Selection: Whether you register as a Voir (viewer) or Revealer (content creator)
- Optional Profile Information: Responses to questionnaire about your wellness journey (if provided)

When you use the Platform, we automatically collect:
- Viewing History: Which sessions you watch, when you watch them, and for how long
- Session Analytics: View counts, watch duration, and engagement metrics
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers
- Log Data: IP address, access times, and pages viewed
1.3 User-Generated Content
We collect and store content you create on the Platform, including:
- Comments: Comments you post on recorded sessions
- Session Recordings: If you are a Revealer, your live streams are recorded and stored
- Session Metadata: Category selections and duration estimates for streams
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the Service: Create and manage your account, deliver content, and enable Platform features
- Personalize Experience: Maintain your watch history and provide content recommendations
- Communicate: Send account notifications, updates, and administrative messages

Not a Healthcare Platform:
Mental VOIR is an educational platform, not a healthcare provider. We are not subject to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) requirements. No protected health information (PHI) is intentionally collected or stored.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.
6.1 Retention Periods
- Account Data: Retained while your account is active, deleted upon account closure
- Session Recordings: Retained until deleted by Revealer request or account termination
- Comments: Retained for the life of the session; anonymized if account is deleted
- Viewing History: Retained while your account is active
- Analytics Data: Aggregated, anonymized analytics may be retained indefinitely
6.2 Inactive Accounts
Accounts that have been inactive for an extended period may be flagged for review. We will attempt to contact you before taking any action on inactive accounts.
7. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
7.1 Access & Portability
You may request a copy of your personal data. Contact us at support@mentalvoir.com to make a request.
7.2 Correction
You may update your account information at any time through your account settings, or contact us to correct inaccurate information.
7.3 Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and personal data. Upon deletion:
- Your account information (name, email, password) will be permanently deleted
- Your comments will be anonymized (displayed as "Deleted User") but content retained
- Your viewing history will be deleted
- For Revealers: Session recordings must be requested for deletion separately before account closure
7.4 Opt-Out
You may opt out of non-essential communications by adjusting your notification settings or clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails.
8. Anonymous Features
8.1 Anonymous Viewing
When you watch sessions, Revealers cannot see your identity. They only see aggregate statistics such as total view counts. Your viewing activity is private.
8.2 Anonymous Comments
You have the option to post comments anonymously. When you select this option:
- Your comment will display as "Anonymous Viewer" to other users
- However, your user ID is still associated with the comment internally for moderation purposes
- Platform administrators can see the author of anonymous comments if needed for safety or legal reasons
Transparency Note:
While we provide anonymity features for user comfort, all activity is tracked internally for platform integrity, safety, and legal compliance. Complete anonymity from the platform itself is not possible.
9. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
